(September 15, 1932-December 15, 2025)
(Don was with the Air Force, then went to IBM in Ottawa, then opened his own vending business.)
Passed away peacefully at the Fairview Manor.
Don Of Almonte, Ontario.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia. In 1958 he and his wife moved to Ottawa then in 2003 moved to Almonte.
Don had a lifelong interest in woodworking and was an active member of The Almonte Civitan Club.
Beloved husband to Faye for 67 years. Loved by his son Michael and his two daughters Deborah Coldwell and Sharon (Mark LaFrance). Proud of his two granddaughters Jessica Salmon (Brad Hurdis) and Sydney Mowry as well as two great-grandchildren Hudson and Lena Hurdis. Missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Remembered for his stories about growing up in Annapolis Valley, NS, his time in the Air Force and his unique solutions to problems or improvements.
Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.

Private service will be held in the Spring at the Auld Kirk Cemetery.
