It’s The Perfect Time to think about proms past!

Why? Because high school graduation — and a brand new musical that showcases that very thing — are right around the corner!

The cast and crew of The Perfect Time are totally excited about our show — coming this May — and want everyone else to be excited too. The Perfect Time weaves together the stories of two generations — middle-aged professionals heading to a high school reunion and high school seniors staring down graduation. Each is grappling with how and when to be true to themselves and follow their hearts.

The iconic High School Prom is a highlight for graduates of all eras. When we thought back to our prom experiences, we were flooded with memories that had us all hunting for photo evidence. So, we figure the natural thing to do is have a photo contest!

What comes to mind when you think about your high school prom? The glamorous outfits? The music? Your date? The limo? The corsage? The dancing? Old friends you haven’t seen since that very night? If you have photos from your special night that make you smile, laugh, wince or hide … we want to see them!

How do you enter?

  1. Choose a photo
from your dazzling stash of prom highlights
  2. Write a caption
that describes your memory of it
  3. Send an email
with your name, photo, caption and the year it happened to contest@the20bureau.ca by April 15.

What’s the prize?

  • Two tickets to our world premiere on May 22!

We’ll choose our favourite in late April, and share the winner, along with other riveting photos and captions. Some may even be featured in The Perfect Time show itself!

The Perfect Time will run May 22–24 and May 29–31, 2026, at the Almonte Old Town Hall.
Tickets are available right now at Tickets Please.

This all-original musical by Almonte’s Kelly and James Torck features 20 original songs, rock-inflected arrangements and a talented cast of performers from Almonte, Pakenham, Ashton, Lanark, Renfrew as well as Ottawa. The show will be directed by Kris Riendeau of Humm Team Productions hummteam.ca ,
