Godspell Takes the Stage June 5–7
Riversong Players’ bold new production of Godspell will run June 5–7 at the Almonte Old Town Hall.
Step into the Riversong Players Market, where everyone is selling something… truth, comfort, beauty, distraction, hope.
This imaginative new staging of Godspell begins in the middle of a bustling small-town marketplace inspired by Almonte itself. As the voices, philosophies, expectations, and pressures of the crowd grow overwhelming, Judas is drawn into a vivid dream led by a mysterious teacher who challenges the world around them through parables, music, humour, and compassion.
Blending folk-market charm with striking theatrical imagery, Godspell explores what happens when people search for meaning, connection, forgiveness, and light in a noisy world.

Auditions Announced for Finding Neverland
Riversong Players is also thrilled to announce auditions for the magical Broadway musical Finding Neverland.
Inspired by the story behind Peter Pan, Finding Neverland celebrates imagination, creativity, wonder, and the courage to believe in something extraordinary.
Auditions will take place:
- June 16
• June 17
• Callbacks on June 23
Roles are available for both youth and adult performers, with opportunities for experienced actors as well as those newer to the stage.

New Summer Youth Intensive: The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical
In addition to its mainstage productions, Riversong Players is launching a brand-new Youth Summer Production Intensive featuring The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
Hosted at beautiful Malkov Farm, this 8-week program will offer young performers the opportunity to build skills in acting, singing, movement, storytelling, and ensemble performance while preparing for a fully staged public production this September at the Almonte Old Town Hall.
Program highlights include:
- Twice weekly summer sessions
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30am–3:30pm
- Snacks provided
- Ages approximately 8–18
- Public performances in September
Early Bird registration is now open, with payment plans available and limited enrollment due to production licensing and ensemble size.
