Dear Almonte,
I want to express my sincere thanks to all of you who came to Kelly Funeral Home in Kanata yesterday to celebrate the life of Dr. Christiane Deschenes. I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and kindness of the Almonte community as well as all of her golf and ski companions. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to speak to each and every one of you individually. She was a bright light and like many a bright candle, it burns out too quickly. The sheer number of you who took the time to remember her is a testament to how special she was. Thank you all.
