Peacefully at the Almonte Country Haven on Thursday, May 26th. Beloved wife of the late Ernie Dignard (1999). Loving mother of Deborah Elvins (late Harry), York Polk (Cynthia), David Polk, Jeffrey Polk (Nancy), Ken Polk (Anne) and Laurie Mele. Proud grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 8. Predeceased by granddaughter Amanda Polk and Jason Polk. Sister of the late Bill Johnston. Her best friend and companion Buddy will be forever lost without her. Laurie will be fondly remembered for her hard working, feisty personality. We will each remember her in our own special way. Special thanks to Karen and Donna for their compassion and care. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11am at St. Michael’s Church, 1560 Corkery Road. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
