On Saturday, May 24, 2025, musicians from across the Ottawa Valley will gather at Emmanuel Anglican Church in Arnprior for Songs for the Grove, a benefit concert in support of the Save the Grove Again campaign. The event aims to raise critical funds to help protect Gillies Grove, a treasured old-growth forest, from development.
The evening will feature jazz and folk performances by Almonte’s own Jennifer Noxon and Brendan Gawn, Arnprior-based Philip Candelaria, Fred Dell’Amico, Richard Fallows, and Patrick Kline, and Carp-based Heather Adeney and Dave Meisenheimer, a diverse lineup united by a shared love of music and nature.
Tickets are $25 and available at the door, in advance at White Pine Books, Green Bean Natural Foods in Arnprior, or online at TicketsPlease.ca. Doors open at 7:00 pm, concert begins at 7:30 pm at Emmanuel Anglican Church, 287 Harrington St., Arnprior.
“This concert is not just a celebration of music—it’s a call to action,” says Lacey Smith, Chair of Save the Grove Again. “Every ticket sold helps us take real steps toward protecting the Grove for future generations.”
Proceeds will go directly toward legal, environmental, and planning support for the campaign to preserve the Grove’s ecological integrity.
