Brydges, Marian Helena — obituary

Brydges, Marian Helena (née Bryan)

April 15th, 1941 – July 7th, 2025

Passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2025, at the age of 84, on what would have been her 64th wedding anniversary, now reunited with her beloved late husband, Clarence Brydges.

Loving mother to Lori Brydges and Allan Brydges (Shelia Maguire). Adored grandma to Michelle Toshack, Allison Bergevin (J acob), Greg (Sarah) and Micheal Brydges. Great Grandma to Anson Brydges.  Survived by her brother Dan Bryan (late Darlene). Predeceased by her brothers Ron Bryan (Diane), Gene Bryan (Diane), Doug Bryan (late Simone) and her parents George and Hazel Bryan.  Marian will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many close friends.

Marian was born in Mindemoya, Ontario, but built a life in Almonte alongside her husband Clarence on the farm. She dedicated many years to working in administration at the Almonte General Hospital. Outside of work, Marian enjoyed camping with her family in the summer, reading, crossword puzzles and snowmobiling in the winter. However, she found her greatest joy in any time spent with her four grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcomed to gather at Gambles Funeral Home in Almonte on Monday, July 14th, 2025. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. A reception will take place after the service, with interment to follow at 4:30pm at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Almonte General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
