Celebrate Earth Day with Film and Community at the Old Town Hall

The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT), in partnership with the Municipality of Mississippi Mills and One Mississippi, invites the community to celebrate Earth Day with a special evening of film and discussion at the Almonte Old Town Hall on April 22 – part of the municipality’s Spring Greening festivities.

The event will feature a screening of MMLT’s recently released short film, Nature’s Path to Wellness, which shares real stories about how connecting with nature can support emotional resilience, balance, and overall well-being. Produced in collaboration with Pinegrove Productions, and supported by the Perth and District Community Foundation and MMLT donors, the film highlights the powerful role nature can play in everyday life.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to take part in a panel discussion with film participants, offering an opportunity to reflect, share experiences, and explore the connection between nature and wellness. After a brief intermission, local groups will showcase community initiatives that support environmental and personal well-being.

This free event is open to all and welcomes anyone interested in celebrating Earth Day through community connection and inspiration.
