A portion of Main Street at the intersection of Union and Main in Almonte will be closed off due to the deterioration of the Dungarvon building. Mississippi Mills is issuing a compliance order to the property owner for a complete reassessment of the structural integrity of the building. MIssissippi Mills planner Stephen Stirling states that the closure is to ensure the safety of the public and will remain in effect until necessary repairs are completed.
