Fulton’s ‘pays it forward’ to local charities

In keeping with the values of Fulton’s Pancake House & Sugar Bush and our commitment to pay it forward, graduating teen staff members meet at the conclusion of every maple harvest to decide on the recipient(s) of the funds from the Tip Jar.  The “drum roll announcement” of the grand total of gratuities left in the jar throughout the winter & spring harvest season is an exciting part of our end-of-season celebration.

Past recipients such as the Lanark County Chapter of 4H Canada, LAWS and the Arnprior & District Humane Society have benefited greatly and the privilege of giving continues!

In 2016, $1,640.00 was divided equally and donated to two local recipients:  Canadian Tire Jumpstart, (Carleton Place Chapter) & Victoria’s Quilts Canada (Pakenham Chapter).

We were delighted to learn 100% of the Tip Jar funds will help many local children enrol in sports programs or activities in the area providing fun opportunities & happy memories for these deserving children.    The dedicated ladies at Victoria’s Quilts, Pakenham have hand crafted and personally delivered over 1000 quilts since 2000 and this donation will purchase quilt batting for 120 new quilts.

To all of our guests:  Thank you for expressing your appreciation to Fulton’s staff in your generous tips.  Together, we are  making a difference in our community!
