What: CFCL is pleased to offer a six-week series of knitting classes for beginners. Our instructor, Almonte resident June Corfield, learned to knit as a child during a visit with her English grandmother. She has continued to knit over the years, has attended
knitting conferences in Canada & the U.S. and taken classes by published knitting designers to expand her technical knowledge.
The classes will include preventing, identifying and correcting mistakes; left and right leaning increases, decreases and twisted stitches; matching cast-on and cast-off stitches; short row shaping; steeks; special bind off methods; reading patterns and charts; modifying patterns as well as project help. Supplies will be provided.
Fees for Non CFCL members: $60 and can be paid here
Where: Centre For Creative Living, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Clyde Street, lower floor
When: Six two-hour sessions beginning Friday January 17th 10 a.m to noon.
