LEGO Sumobot is back at Mississippi Mills Library!
Get ready for one of our most exciting summer programs: LEGO Sumobot! In this free program for ages 8 and up, participants build and program their own LEGO sumo-bots using LEGO Spike kits and Scratch, a kid-friendly, block-based coding language. With instruction and support from Steampunk Education instructors, kids learn how to build and code robots before facing off in a thrilling robot sumo battle, where the strongest bot wins!
Important information:
- Participants must be able to read, as basic reading skills are required to use Scratch
- Only 8 spots are available per day – registration is required, spaces fill up quickly!
- Program is run at Almonte branch – 4pm to 6:30pm, July 14 – 25
- Each child can ONLY attend ONE day – NOT multiple days.
