Many Almonte residents will remember the television crew from AMI-tv, the national disability network, who were here last May filming a special on Just Good Compost. The crew stayed for the best part of a week, accompanying the JGC team as they picked up, dumped, washed and disinfected the little white buckets that appear on doorsteps throughout town each Wednesday and Friday.
They were also on hand for JGC’s annual Compost Pick-Up Day, which takes place each year on Mother’s Day weekend. The episode was a great success. In fact, it has been the most viewed segment on the network’s website since it aired last month.
If you have not yet seen it, it is worth a watch. It is very heartwarming and showcases some of the wonderful people and connections that make our community so special. Here is a link to the episode:
