At last, the 150 year old barn near Carleton Place which has stood empty for years is being repurposed into a live music venue. Drivers familiar with the area frequently pass it and it has just been known as the “Old Barn”.The new owners Tori Arsenault and Adam McKinty have named the venue North on 29 and opened it last evening to an excited crowd. They have booked a number of musical groups. They have a chef in place to serve preconcert dinners on the second floor concert venue although you need not pay for dinner to attend a concert . The concert space holds 135 people. They plan to add a restaurant downstairs serving healthy pub style food later in the year.
