Our new favourite place for fish and chips is right here on our doorstep in Almonte. We are so lucky that Tim and Kelly have decided to provide us with this wonderful place to eat fabulous, great, wonderful, tasty, fresh fish and chips. Other menu items are also available. The CHEEKY CHIPPY uses local ingredients such as sausages from Don’s Meat Market and buns from Baker Bob’s.
The CHEEKY CHIPPY is located in the parking lot on Ottawa Street right opposite Home hardware.
You can eat at the provided picnic tables or you can take away. The service is very friendly and efficient. The food is great. The shrimps are especially nice as they are not over-cooked. The fish is fresh and the batter is crispy. The chips are delicious — with the potatoes being hand-peeled by Tim earlier in the day. What more can you ask for!
Tim and Kelly run a great chippy. From the recyclable containers to the actual food and service, everything is 5 Star.
The CHEEKY CHIPPY’s opening hours are 3 PM to 8 PM daily except Thursdays when, as their sign says, “We have gone fishing.” We do understand that they sometimes sell out, so go early. That all being said, please do go and support this great new addition to Almonte’s eating out choices. You will not regret it.
