Earlier this year we reported on the imminent closure of the only bus service running from Almonte to Ottawa each day.
A reader reminds us that the service is up and running again under new proprietors, and that it’s still possible to commute back and forth to the city without a car (or a bicycle, if you’re extraordinarily energetic.)
The route is numbered #502 by OC Transpo and info about fares and schedules can be had from Classic Alliance Motorcoach, 613-253-3443.
The same reader notes that “the great news for Almonte folks is that they have recently updated the route. So now it comes to Almonte last and goes to Almonte first on your way back.”
