Our winter session flew by, the sun is getting stronger, days are getting longer and all hell is breaking loose in places far and beyond our border. Now, more than ever, we need to gather, to feel a sense of connection with others, to strengthen our bonds with the natural world and to celebrate the things that we can. This winter we sang an Irish lullabye, a short winter song by David Francey, a song celebrating our collective voice and the power of singing by Jennifer Noxon, a traditional Palestinian song in Arabic, and others.
Registration is now open for our Spring Session dates and details are below. We welcome people of all stripes and colours, from seasoned voices to those who are singing in a group for the first time. We laugh a lot, sing a lot, and leave each session feeling better than when we arrived. No need to read sheet music as songs and harmony parts are taught in the oral tradition of call and response and reviewed often over the many weeks we are together. Vocal tracks and lyrics are available. We are not a performance-oriented choir. By the end of the season, your voice will be stronger, your breathing improved, you’ll have some new friends, and some new songs in your pocket. More information here.
