Due to the response to “The Rural Schools of Ramsay”, Archives Lanark has published another 50 books which are selling fast. If you wish a copy , contact Marilyn Snedden at msnedden@storm.ca or at 613 256-3130. They are also available at Archives Lanark at 1920 Drummond Concession 7 which is now open every Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
Laurie Dougherty , archivist for Arnprior/McNab/Braeside has just completed a contract as a consultant sharing information on arrangement of the collection and training a new volunteer to use the data base. This will be a great benefit so everyone can find documents easily. It also means we have to refrain from moving them around as the Data Base records their permanent place.
George Stewart has completed “The Rural Schools of Pakenham”which will be available later this month . The book launch date is still to be decided so check on the website- www.archiveslanark.ca for details later
