Shaun McLaughlin, Ramsay Ward Councillor, filed his nomination paper with Town Clerk today to run for Mississippi Mills Mayor in the October municipal election.
“These last four years our community expanded and developed and I see the next four years being critical in determining the face of our town and the feel of our neighbourhoods,” says Shaun McLaughlin. “I want to bring my consensus building skills, my community minded interests to bear on the important decisions that will be made about the future of Mississippi Mills.”
“We all have a stake in the future character of our town. I want to ensure we all have a voice.”

Shaun indicates he plans to have a formal campaign launch in August.
The municipal election this year is again by online and telephone voting. Voting will be open between October 17 and October 27, 2014.
