Stuart Allen Timmins — obituary

Timmins, Stuart Allen

October 30,1939 – February 10, 2025

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Stuart Allen Timmins on Monday, February 10, 2025, age 85 years.

Beloved husband and best friend of Jean (nee Lesway) for 61 years. Much loved dad of Sherry (Joan) and Brian. Cherished brother of Glen (Lois), Myrna Bourk (Denis), and Helen Parish (late John). Predeceased by his brothers Milton and Alvin. Brother-in-law of Lynda and Donna, Charlotte, Kathy, and Margaret. Loving son of the late Ollie and Esther Timmins of Pakenham.  Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Developed many long-term friendships throughout the years with his small General Contracting business which he began in the early eighties.  Always there for family and friends when they called for advice.  Many more friends will remember him from softball, hockey, bowling, boating, snowmobiling and golf.  Stuart was passionate about sports.  Attending Senators games and loved watching the Blue Jays, Nascar, curling, football or just about anything sports related.  Stuart enjoyed the comradery with his hunting gang. There was never a time he would turn down an opportunity to have a game of cards with friends or family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation and funeral for Stuart will be held at C.R. Gambles Funeral Home and Chapel in Almonte, ON Tuesday February 25, 2025, at 12 noon to 2 pm. Funeral Service at 2 pm. Reception will follow the service in the funeral home’s Reception suite.
