The administration of the oath of office was conducted for the whole Council rather than swearing-in individual Councilors and the Mayor. Mayor Shaun McLaughlin received the Chain of Office from the municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer, Diane Smithson. Before the Council meeting was adjourned, the Mayor gave a short speech which is copied here in full. left-to-right Councilors Jane Torrance, Christa Lowry, Val Wilkinson, Duncan Abbott; Mayor Shaun McLaughlin; Councilors John Edwards, Denzil Ferguson, Bernard Cameron, Jill McCubbin, Paul Watters, Alex Gillis Photos: © Neil Carleton Share Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email Related Wishing our readers a safe and happy Christmas January 28, 2022 Letter from Germany 10 – Integration June 11, 2016 Letter from Germany 9 – Germany adjusts to the huge influx of immigrants June 3, 2016 FOLLOW US FacebookTwitter Latest For sale: Reel mower, bistro set May 18, 2024 Diana’s Quiz – May 18, 2024 May 16, 2024 The Toonie Book Sale, May 1 May 17, 2024 Plenty of Senior Games events upcoming May 17, 2024 Community friendship luncheon, May 21 May 14, 2024 Community lunch in support of Civitan accessible playground, June 6 May 16, 2024 From the Archives From Chicken Coop to Cultural Centre – Let's Start Small, Dream Big!
