FeaturesSwearing-in of Mississippi Mills Council attracted a full house Swearing-in of Mississippi Mills Council attracted a full house December 4, 2014 by Neil Carleton A full house greeted Council-elect on Tuesday night, December 2, as piper Regan Warner escorted the soon-to-be Councilors and Mayor into the Council Chamber a few minutes past 7:00 p.m. All the seats in the public gallery were full, and additional chairs were set out around the room to accommodate the many residents who attended. The administration of the oath of office was conducted for the whole Council rather than swearing-in individual Councilors and the Mayor. Mayor Shaun McLaughlin received the Chain of Office from the municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer, Diane Smithson.
