STEPHANIE FORD FORRESTER

Working by hand almost exclusively in raw silks and batiks is, for Stephanie, the way to obtain the luminous and richly textured effects present in her work. The immediacy and very personal quality of the hand work is a crucial part of the creative process reflecting the endless flow of water and light, daily inspirations in her artistic life.

STUDIO 7 PAINTERS

7 Painters, 7 styles

A love of painting and a desire to share ideas brings together this enthusiastic group of mixed media artists to Studio 7 in the Nepean Creative Arts Centre. Although the sessions are unstructured allowing each artist to do his or her "own thing", a great deal of learning takes place through observation and discussion. Studio 7 members are: Janey Adams, Barbara Cotterill, Peggy Chivers-Wilson, Christa Kerckhoff, Nancy MacLeod, Marie Rakos and Margreet Verheuvel.

Several of the artists invite you to join them for a wine and cheese reception at the Corridor Gallery, Almonte Public Library from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 18.
