The Yard of the Week at 2572 County Road 29, Pakenham is gardened by Hilda Brodmann. Even though not much of the garden can be seen from the road, there is an extensive flower garden and vegetable garden at the back of the house. Mrs. Brodmann started her garden over 40 years ago with her husband. Since her husband died, she has been looking after her garden herself and is in her very high 80’s. She is a member of the Pakenham Horticultural Society and participates in the three flower shows that the organization has. Just this early summer at the summer show, she won several prizes as well as the best specimen of the show.
