Several thousand people jammed Almonte’s Mill Street to take part in the 21st annual Light Up the Night celebration, the Ottawa Valley’s signature Christmas event.
Mild temperatures, and a welcome respite from the rain that had fallen most of the afternoon, brought the crowds out to see great local talents like Mark Papousek, Gail Gavan, Kelly Sloan, Mike Ryan and other popular acts.
A jolly white-bearded fellow in a red-and-white outfit arrived in time for the exceptional fireworks display. It was another special evening here in Mississippi Mills.
