  • Location: Almonte
  • Term: hourly
  • Salary: $21.58/hr to $25.38/hr
  • Start Date:  May 1, 2025

ConnectWell Therapeutic Riding is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Riding instructor to join our team. We are looking for a part time employee for approximately 4 – 8 hrs each week.  This position allows you to participate in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

Position Summary:

The Riding Instructor is responsible for teaching adaptive riding activities to our clients.  This role will work closely with our organization’s volunteers.  You will be a point of contact for our clients and volunteers ensuring a positive and safe experience for all participants.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Instructor through the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association or other
  • Rider level 1 preferred
  • Current First Aid and CPR will be required
  • Ability to work with horses to be suitable for use in the Therapeutic Riding Program
  • Ability to work with people of all ages with a wide variety of physical and/or developmental disabilities

Reporting Relationship: The successful candidate will report to the Program Coordinator.

An offer of employment will be conditional upon the candidate completing a Vulnerable Sector Screening which includes a criminal reference check and proof of COVID vaccinations (2 doses).
