We received this note from a reader.
We often walk along Country Street and go as far as where the curve becomes Rae Road. This past Saturday we discovered a dead deer in the ditch by the road, and again today we found another, in the same area. Along the roadside beside one of them was a lot of broken glass, plastic and metal which was all obviously from a vehicle. Both deer were does.
The area we saw these deer in is a long open stretch and it’s very tempting for a driver to hit on the gas. Unfortunately some people may be unaware there are several deer crossings along that stretch. Please inform your readers and hopefully they’ll spread the word of caution to others who use Country Street.
