(MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) – On September 20, 2017 at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers with the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Almonte.
The investigation found that an altercation had taken place at a residence and a female had been seriously assaulted.
A 73-year-old male from Mississippi Mills was arrested and is charged with:
- attempt to commit murder
- uttering threats
- overcome resistance by choking, suffocating or strangling another person
