Harlem Shake at Pakenham Public School – June 14, 2013

Students of the Pakenham Public School  did a Harlem Shake on Friday June 14, to celebrate the creation of their puppets and help highlight the upcoming Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival planned for downtown Almonte on August 10 and 11, 2013.

Students at the Pakenham Public School has created their own puppets thanks to the generous support of the Young Awards Foundation. The festival’s artistic Director and puppeteer, Noreen Young, and Jeff Banks of JB Arts worked with each student to create some wild and crazy puppets.

Now in its ninth year, the Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival will treat family audiences to magical performances by ten puppet troupes from around the world, along with street entertainment and a daily parade. This year’s Family Reunion theme will celebrate the return of some of our most loved entertainers.
