This is a major thank you to Almonte in Concert for providing a full house with a sizzling performance of guitars Saturday night. Not only were we treated to the Brazilian tango flavour of MG3 the Montreal Guitar Trio, but we also had the surprise appearance by Don Ross, the unique finger-style guitar player from Montreal, who opened the show. The thumping standing ovation was well deserved, and the four guitar players didn’t disappoint.
Almonte in Concert has shown real initiative for moving beyond purely classical performances, and there can be no doubt they are succeeding with a variety of artists and programming that will keep the audience on its toes – and dancing if last night’s show is the wave of the future.
There’s one more concert in the series on April 29. If you missed the concert last night, you’ll want to get tickets tomorrow for this upcoming one!
Again, thank you Almonte in Concert!
