Merville Keith McGrath
Merville Keith McGrath, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 in his hometown of Almonte. Merville (‘Doc’) married his childhood sweetheart Beverly Joan Arlene (‘Dolly’), and together they had their beloved son Ron.
He was known for his cheery disposition, tireless work ethic and love and dedication to his extended family. An accomplished welder by trade, he also loved puttering around in his garage and helping his grandkids with all manner of home projects. He spent the better part of 20 years volunteering at the Auld Kirk cemetery in memory of his wife Dolly, whom he loved with all his heart. Merville is survived by his son Ron (Julie), grandchildren Christopher (Jamie), Brianna (Shane) and Timothy (Amanda). He is also survived by his five great grandchildren, Jude, Violet, Emma, Oliver and Reid. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dolly.
He was the best father, grandfather and great grandfather anyone could ever ask for, and will be dearly missed.
A private family gathering will be held in lieu of a public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation.
