Yesterday the Canadian arm of the National Basketball Association posted a video about Almonte’s connections with James Naismith and his invention of basketball.
With a voice-over by Jeff Mills of Mills Community Support, the video focuses on the recent community-driven rehabilitation of the basketball court at Augusta Street Park.
It is a thoroughly charming story and well worth watching. Since its release yesterday it has been viewed over 400,000 times.
Every court has a story – including the one in James Naismith’s hometown #Hoops125
