November 1 is final date for full cut-off lighting to preserve ability to view the night sky.

As of November 1, 2006 all new exterior residential lighting must comply with the Towns 2003 night sky preservation by-law.  This By-law requires that all new lighting be full cut-off, meaning it does not direct light upward. The town has a “Good Neighbour Lighting” which advises residents where they may purchase these lights.
