Editor’s Note: I received this item yesterday but didn’t publish it then as the show was already sold out. I did photograph the show last night.
ON YOUR FEET, ALMONTE!
Only in Almonte, unique to all the world, would you see a Dickens “Christmas Carol” like our intrepid puppeteers put on at the Ron Caron Auditorium last night. The show features over 45 puppets, all appropriately attired, a unique script that would have made Dickens proud, a musical accompaniment to warm seasonal hearts, and interlude jazz that fit the occasion perfectly.

Every character our town loves, from Baker Bob to Al Potvin to Ron Caron on fiddle, graces the stage. Multiple puppeteers provided the action and voices. This show is one not to be missed. So many people are involved it would be unfair to try to list them all, but to all the cast, the crew, the brilliant puppeteer magic, a standing ovation is not nearly enough thanks for what you have given Almonte.
I implore everyone to brave the weather and take in the show tonight. It’s a fundraiser for Puppets Up, but more than that, it is the epitome of what Almonte is: a loving caring, creative town with talent unparalleled!
Thanks in advance. And I really hope you were able to catch this performance. Unbelievable!!
