I’ve had this update about the ‘alameda’ planned for a stretch of the Rail Trail in Almonte — the trees and backhoes arrive tomorrow morning, near the Library, and organizers welcome you to bring a shovel starting about 9 AM if you’d like to help literally get this exciting project in the ground. The trees are coming! They’ll be here Wednesday. The County is contributing backhoe time, the municipality backhoe time and water truck, Cavanagh is giving us some soil and the planting spots are spray-painted on the ground. The ducks have lined up.
