Tiffany MacLaren is the new Community Economic and Cultural Programmer

by Shaun McLaughlan

Today Council approved the new hire for the Community Economic and Cultural Programmer, Tiffany MacLaren.

108 people applied for the job. Staff whittled down the list to five. A Council subcommittee (I was part of it) interviewed the five. Four were good candidates. We called back two. It was close but Tiffany was chosen for her expertise and enthusiasm.

Tiffany is a local woman with years of experience with the Canada Games Council and the Ottawa Congress Center. She is strong in marketing, graphic design and event management.

Tiffany said this is her dream job—she has applied twice before. We are glad she kept trying.

She starts July 23. Please offer your support.
