Tom passed away at home, on Thursday May 9, 2013, at age 42, after a courageous battle with cancer, and surrounded by his family. High school sweet heart and loving husband, twenty years, of Angela Flynn (nee Rankine-Holder). Dedicated and beloved father of Emily Flynn and Megan Flynn. He is survived by his loving parents Bill and Emily Flynn (nee Anderson) of Sydenham, his twin brother Mark Flynn (Sue) and sister Roxanne Saunders (Steve). Son-in-law of David and Marnie Rankine, Suzanne and Burgess Stevenson, Raymond and Cindy Holder. Brother-in-law of Tabatha Barnes, Mallea Holder (Paul). Special cousin of Laura Atkins (Tom). Special uncle of Samantha, James, Abby, Faith, Alyssa, Leeham, Kira, and Marha. A long-time employee of OCWA. A special thank-you to nurse Jennifer Irwin, staff at the CCAC, the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, and Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre – (QCH) for their care and support.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 12pm – 2pm. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will follow in the chapel at 2pm. Reception at the Almonte Civitan Club. A family interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Railton, Wednesday, May 15th, 2013. Donations in memory of Tom to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) would be appreciated.
