My daughter Emily is 10 and her friend Bella is 9.
Both girls attend grade 4 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic School. I am so proud of both. Selfless and compassionate. Fundraising and SHAVING their hair for a cure.
They have 2 little boys fighting brain cancer in their school right now and decided to attend the Smiling Over Sickness event on May 7th to shave their hair. They want to raise as much as possible for childhood cancer research to help find a cure.
Childhood cancer research only receives 5% of federal funding. Emily and Bella feel the children fighting cancer and all children who might get cancer in the future deserve more than 5%.
