The victim of yesterday’s fatal collision on Highway 7 in Carleton Place has been identified as Elizabeth Harris, 29, of Smiths Falls. She was the mother of three children, aged 4, 6 and 8.

Harris was on her way to work in Carleton Place when the crash occurred at the Highway 15 intersection at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.

A 64-year-old  Richmond Hill truck driver, Gordon Sarles, has been charged with failing to stop at a red light in connection with the crash.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help provide financial support to Harris’s family.
