Moxley, Robert Graham
May 19, 1946 – January 12, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our loving husband and amazing dad, who passed away in Almonte from an unexpectedly rapid bout with cancer.
Predeceased by his children, Carolyn and Graham, Rob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jill, his son, Matthew (Charlynn), his daughter, Emily (Tony) and his dearly loved grandsons, Sonny and Louie.
After receiving a degree in psychology from Carleton University, Rob worked as a Counsellor at Rideau Regional Center in Smiths Falls.
Rob loved working on the land, and hobby-farmed 80 acres on Ramsay’s eighth line for 22 years. He also loved being on the water, whether it was on a cruise ship, on his cabin cruiser on the Rideau System, or in a motor boat on the Mississippi River. He built his dream home on the banks of that river on land he cleared himself, and lovingly tended his acres of bush for almost 30 years.
His family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Rosamond Wing at the Almonte General Hospital for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Ottawa Mission or Harvest House. There will be a small gathering of family and friends to celebrate Rob’s life on February 7, 2024 from 4-6 pm.
