A 34-year-old woman was critically injured by a falling tree this morning at the intersection of Ann and Church Streets in Almonte this morning, according to the OPP and reports by CBC and CTV.
An earlier social media post by the OPP gave the woman’s age as 16 but that was later corrected.
The municipality issued a notice at around 1 p.m. saying that the remainder of the tree will be removed and asking the public to avoid the area.
