Navigating Sleep, Tech and Youth Wellbeing

Parent Education Night: Navigating Sleep, Tech and Youth Wellbeing will take place on January 22, 2026, from 7:00–9:30pm at the Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte Branch).

Hosted in partnership by the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre and Trellis Mental Health, this community event is designed to help parents better understand how sleep, technology use and mental health are connected for youth today. The evening will include three short presentations sharing local data and insights, youth perspectives, and guidance from a local mental health provider, followed by a moderated question and answer period. Parents will also take home practical tools to support meaningful conversations and shared boundaries at home.

The focus of the evening is on realistic, relationship-based approaches that help parents feel more confident, informed and connected.

The event is Pay What You Can, with proceeds supporting youth programming at the MMYC and panelist honorariums. An age-appropriate activity space will be available at the MMYC for youth ages 5 and up, with advance registration required by emailing executivedirector@mmyc.ca before Sunday, January 18.
