Died peacefully in hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Born on June 1, 1939 in Oswestry, England to Albert and Edna Jones (both deceased). Keith immigrated to Canada in 1967 and raised his family in Almonte. Keith graduated as an electrical engineer from Manchester, University and enjoyed his career working in the engineering field.
Keith is survived by his sister Margaret (Roger) and their children Jason & Alison, also of Oswestry England, his spouse Karen Anselmi, six children Anthony (Trina), Diane (Scott) Smithson, Nigel (Tamara), John (Lynda), Tim (Cathy), and Alasdair (Traci), grandchildren Angela, Kelsey, Hannah, Nicholas, Samantha, Connor, Dennis, Jesse, Madison, Alisha, Charlotte, Abigail, Maggie, Ryan, and great-grandchildren Colton, Jack, Callie, and Amelia.
Keith enjoyed bicycling, swimming, badminton, and tennis and playing the piano.
A private service for family and close family friends will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at C. R. Gamble Funeral Home & Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
A special thank you to Frank and Diane Rochon, Keith’s neighbours for over 30 years, who went above and beyond to generously provide assistance to him.
We would also like to acknowledge the excellent care of Dr. Bastin-Millar and the nursing staff at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital and the Carleton Place Terrace.
