Almonte Junior Civitans are sharing their time and energy with our community. They donated the results of their fundraising efforts this year to causes in which they strongly believe. The Juniors donated $500 to the Lanark County Food Bank The Hunger Stop, and $500 to the Almonte Civitan campaign to build the accessible Playground.
They are learning the benefits of volunteering, both to others and to themselves. They had a fun time helping with the Civitan Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. There are many events coming to continue their fundraising efforts and to build teamwork and leadership skills.
They plan to have a bake sale at the March 21st Spring Craft Fair at the Civitan Hall, and a Spaghetti Dinner on May 1st. The Juniors continue to support the Lanark Community Association, including Carebridge, and will be hosting another dance for residents of the Association on April 17.
These young people are proud of their growing skills in working together to make a difference in this community.
