To some wonderful (amazing) Good Samaritans:
I had a bad bicycle crash on Spring Street on Saturday, July 11 after I hit a pothole and flew into the curb. Almost immediately, a gentleman whose name is Paul stopped to offer help, and then a woman whose name is Lynn stopped in her car and assessed the situation, called 911 and stayed with me, providing essential first aid until the ambulance came.
Paul also helped bring supplies from Lynn’s car. And Jessie brought towels and water.
I honestly don’t know what would have happened without the knowledgeable help from these folks, and I heartily thank you. I hope I do meet you again under happier circumstances; you truly embody the power of good we see all around us in this wonderful town.
I would also like to thank the terrific paramedics, Terren and Katherine, Dr. Turcotte, and Ray the nurse for their swift and professional patching, stitching, and caring so well for me.
Katrina Ayling, Spring Street
