Good Wednesday morning & Happy Summer!
I was really hoping to come back from our little trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee with some cool photos of Southern State birds. Nope. Didn’t happen. However, while going on a tour through Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains, I did see an Eastern Bluebird. I will never tire of those and I did snap a photograph as he was posing so beautifully on a lovely fence. I was also super fortunate to see a baby bear in the wild, mom and sibling were ahead of this cub…and I was at a safe distance away–the photo was shot with a 500 mm zoom and then cropped. I will share that photo at the bottom.
Yesterday, Tuesday, on the way home from work I saw my Osprey friend at the 5-Span Bridge area perched up in a tree. So of course I pulled over to snap a few shots. Then as I was almost home I saw a family of Grouse running across the road. The babies are already flying and I managed to capture one in a tree. They are at the awkward teen phase. You’ll see what I mean by the photos below….
Please enjoy the photos of this past week. I’ll be back with a new post on Monday.
Have a great week of Feather’s and Beaks!
