Alexandre Allard-Dufour at the Corridor Gallery

Almonte Branch Library | April 19 – June 13, 2026

About the Artist

Alexandre Allard-Dufour is a father, engineer, and aspiring artist. After moving to Almonte five years ago, he decided to learn how to paint with watercolour. Inspired by the friendly town and its strong sense of community, Alex started painting a series of building portraits of the local businesses. While he continues to learn watercolour, Alex has branched out and started creating larger works using different mediums and techniques. His goal is to explore the world of visual art while trying to find his voice.

About the Art

The works shown here incorporate a variety of different styles. These pieces demonstrate Alex’s progression as an artist and his journey while learning about visual art. His work aims to explore various themes such as the importance of community, social paradox, and economic systems.

Alex would like to thank his wife and kids for always supporting him. If you would like to see more of his art, follow him on Instagram at @art_by_alexandre.
