Saturday May 23rd 9 a.m. to noon
St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall
Cost $80 for the workshop. Includes materials.
In this class, you will learn the art of Nuno Felting.
In Japanese, Nuno (布) means “cloth,” “fabric,” or “material”. It is used to describe a technique that combines wool fibres with sheer fabric to create lightweight textiles.
Using warm soapy water, we’ll apply pressure and movement to schmoosh the fibre through the sheer fabric.
Supplies provided will include:
- Trays, soap, fabric to sandwich the project in
- Sheer fabric in multiple colours for students to choose from
- Wool fibre
Supplies students should bring:
- If you are sensitive to water or soap, bring a pair of vinyl gloves
- A towel
- Short sleeves are handy, so you don’t get your sleeves wet.
