Weaving fun at Pakenham Public School

by Liz Newlands

In January the students at Pakenham took part in a two day weaving workshop, with local artist Catherine Arbour. Catherine supplied all of the materials and each class learned a different style of weaving. The kindergarten children wove with paper. The grade 1-2-3 class used a cardboard loom for their creations, the 3-4 class used CDs, and the 5-6 class used branches. The results were amazing!

Another BIG thank you goes to the Young Awards Foundation for sponsoring this event!
