A fire in a transformer and hydro pole at Snedden Road and County Road (Cty Rd) 29 in the Town of Mississippi knocked out electricity in Almonte in the early morning hours of Tuesday May 13. Traffic was rerouted away from the site while repairs were undertaken but the OPP have now reopened County Road 29.
