Lanark County OPP officers are currently investigating a farming accident in the Town of Mississippi Mills that claimed the life of a young farmer.
On Friday, June 19, at about 8:45 am, Lanark County OPP officers were called to a family farm in Pakenham, 10 minutes north of Almonte, Ontario. Along with paramedics they found a 24-year-old man who had been injured in a piece of equipment. The man was air-lifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Lanark County OPP will continue the investigation along with the Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Coroner’s Office.
